Amidst the lush green paddy fields of Kuttanad in Nedumudi, the ancient Mathoor Temple and Kalari is located one kilometre off the ACR (Alappuzha Changanasseri Road), to the south west of Nedumudi Bridge, 1 km west of river Pampa and 3 km east of river Pookaitha. It is approximately 11 kilometres from Alappuzha town (bus station). From National Highway-47 it is located at a distance of 7 kilometres.
